How to care for your humidor

You have set up your humidor, calibrated your hygrometer and are practicing good maintenance practices.

Following are some tips to help you keep your humidor in good working order for many years to come.

How to store:

• Keep on a flat surface
• Never place in direct sunlight, as this may fade the exterior finish. Sunlight may raise the interior temperature beyond the optimum range.
• Keep your humidor away from areas of temperature change, for example in a draft by a window, or close to a fireplace or heater.
• Do not place objects on top of your humidor.

Cleaning:


• Clean the exterior of your humidor with a dry, soft cloth, as polishes could affect the wood and alter the flavor of your cigars.
• Regularly dust your humidor.
• Never use any cleaning solutions inside your humidor, the odour they emit can affect the flavour of your cigars.
• Rotate your cigars monthly.
