Why do I need a humidor?

When correctly looked after and stored your cigars are able to remain in tip top condition for a long time. They can even improve in the same way that wine can improve!

The reverse is also true, all cigars, even if kept in tubes or cellophane can only last a couple of weeks or so outside, before drying out. A dried out cigar will burn too fast, will taste stale and may split or crack.

To collect and age cigars they need to be kept in a correctly maintained humidor. In a well kept humidor it is even possible to restore cigars that have become too dehydrated to be pleasant to smoke!
